Hi I’m Sandra

Welcome to Unbridled Coaching!

I am a professional coach, NLP practitioner and member of the International Coaching Federation.

I help people transform the way they think, feel, and communicate by using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) — a powerful set of tools that rewires unhelpful patterns and creates lasting change.

What is NLP?— and How It Can Change Your Life Too!

Think of it like this: your mind is a powerful computer, and NLP is the code you can rewrite to get better results.

NLP stands for:

  • Neuro – how your brain processes information

  • Linguistic – the language you use with yourself and others

  • Programming – the patterns and habits that run automatically

Many coaching methods focus on conscious goal setting and action plans. That’s important — but it’s only half the story.
NLP lets us work with the subconscious mind — where your deepest habits, beliefs, and automatic responses live.

Here’s what that means for you in a coaching session:

  • Faster results – We don’t just talk about change; we create it in the moment.

  • Personalised tools – I tailor techniques to how your brain processes information.

  • Long-lasting change – We address the root patterns, not just the symptoms.

Imagine learning to stay calm under pressure, speak with influence, or overcome a fear that’s held you back for years — and doing it in weeks, not months. That’s the power of combining coaching with NLP.

  • "The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." – Ludwig Wittgenstein

Why NLP Works (and Why Science Agrees!)

1. Your Brain Can’t Tell the Difference Between Real and Imagined

Neuroscientists have found that when you vividly imagine an experience, the same neural pathways light up as if it’s actually happening. This is why visualisation — a key NLP technique — can improve performance and confidence.

2. Language Rewires the Brain

The words you use literally shape your perception. Psychologists call this the Sapir–Whorf hypothesis — the idea that language influences thought. NLP uses precise language patterns to shift how you think, feel, and act. Changing “I have to” into “I choose to” may seem small, but your subconscious treats it as a completely different reality.

3. You Can Break Patterns in Minutes

NLP works with your brain’s neuroplasticity — its ability to form new neural connections. Techniques like the “Swish Pattern” help replace an unhelpful habit or fear response with a resourceful one, often in a single session.

4. It’s Backed by Behavioural Science

NLP borrows heavily from proven psychological principles like anchoring (classical conditioning, à la Pavlov), reframing (from cognitive behavioral therapy), and state management (grounded in psychophysiology). It’s practical neuroscience in action.

FAQs

  • I am a certified career coach and member of the International Coaching Federation, which means I adhere to high professional and ethical standards in my coaching practice. With a BSc (Hons) in Science and experience working as an engineer for medical device companies, I bring a unique blend of analytical thinking, problem-solving and compassionate support to my coaching. I ensure that any techniques I use are firmly rooted in science and backed by psychological principles.

  • Depending on the reason for coaching and the context, the number of sessions vary between person to person. Three sessions are generally recommended.

  • NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and it’s a powerful set of tools and techniques that help people understand and change patterns of thinking, language, and behaviour. While it shares some similarities with hypnosis—particularly in how it taps into the subconscious—it’s not the same. NLP can be used in a conversational, fully conscious way to help clients shift unhelpful beliefs, improve confidence, and create meaningful change.

That said, like any powerful tool, NLP can be misused. If it’s applied with the intention of influencing someone for the benefit of the coach or practitioner, it crosses into manipulation—and that’s not something I align with. At Unbridled Coaching, I use NLP ethically and with integrity, always with the client’s best interests at heart. It’s about empowering you to find your own clarity and direction, not steering you toward mine.

  • I offer online sessions or in-person sessions. I can travel to my clients for in-person coaching, but please note there is an extra charge to cover travel expenses.
